Introduction:
Japanese singer-songwriter milet has released her new digital EP, “milet × Toru,” on November 5, 2026. The six-track collection brings together songs created through her long-running musical partnership with Toru, guitarist of the popular Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK.
Featuring tracks that span milet’s career, from her 2019 debut song “inside you” to the more recent release “My Voice, My Life,” the EP offers listeners an opportunity to revisit an important creative relationship in her musical journey.
Rather than presenting six brand-new recordings, milet × Toru gathers previously released collaborative songs into one collection. Its release also carries a personal significance, as the artwork revisits the visual world of milet’s debut release and connects her beginnings with her current artistic identity.
milet and Toru Reunite for a Special Six-Track EP:
Since the release of “inside you,” milet and Toru have continued working together on several songs. Their collaboration has become a recurring part of milet’s musical catalog, making this EP a natural way to bring those projects together.
Toru, best known as the guitarist of ONE OK ROCK, has contributed to milet’s music since the beginning of her recording career. Their creative partnership has produced songs that showcase different sides of her musical expression, while bringing together her distinctive vocals and Toru’s musical direction.
“inside you” Connects the EP to milet’s Debut:
One of the most significant songs on milet × Toru is “inside you,” the track that marked milet’s debut in March 2019.
Toru was involved in the song’s production, establishing a creative connection that would continue through subsequent releases. Its inclusion on the new EP brings the collection back to the beginning of that relationship.
The cover artwork also reinforces this connection. Designed with the visual world of the original Inside You EP in mind, the new artwork presents the present-day milet—described in the announcement as “milet 2.0”—facing the version of herself from her early career.
This concept gives the release an additional layer of meaning. It reflects the distance milet has traveled since her debut while acknowledging the music and collaborations that helped shape her journey.
Conclusion:
milet’s milet × Toru is a meaningful release that celebrates a creative partnership dating back to her 2019 debut. By collecting six collaborative songs in one digital EP, the project gives fans a chance to revisit familiar music while reflecting on the development of milet’s career.
The inclusion of “inside you” connects the release to her beginnings, while “My Voice, My Life” brings the collection into the present. Combined with artwork inspired by her debut era, the EP becomes a reflection on musical growth, creative continuity, and the collaboration between milet and ONE OK ROCK’s Toru.
For longtime fans and new listeners alike, milet × Toru offers a convenient way to explore the music created through this enduring partnership.
