Introduction:

The Autumn 2026 anime season has gained its most defiantly joyful opening theme yet from one of Japan’s most uniquely charismatic artists. On October 7, 2026, ano officially released her latest digital single, “Kirai no Chi Suki!” (キライのちスキ！ / "Hate, Then Love!") — the opening theme for the reboot of the beloved TV anime Keroro Gunso☆, which premiered on October 3, 2026. The song was written specifically for the anime, with ano handling the lyrics and co-composing alongside TAKU INOUE, who also arranged the track. It is a high-energy pop anthem that blends ano's signature playful melodies with an aggressive, driving sound, creating a track that resonates with both children and adults. This marks ano's second consecutive tie-up with the Keroro Gunso franchise, following her theme song "Kashippanashi Destiny" for the New Theatrical Edition☆Keroro Gunso film released in June 2026.

The Sound: A Declaration of Self-Love:

"キライのちスキ！" is a track that embodies its title in every sense. The song centers on finding power in loving something purely, without being bound by society's standards or other people's opinions. It is a celebration of authenticity, self-acceptance, and the courage to be yourself.

Why "キライのちスキ！" Matters:

A Song for Anyone Who Has Ever Felt Like an Outsider At its core, "Kirai no Chi Suki!" is a song about finding the courage to be yourself. The lyrics celebrate the freedom that comes from not caring whether others like you — and the surprising joy of discovering that you are loved anyway. In a world dominated by social media metrics and external validation, ano's message is refreshingly defiant: your own love for yourself is the only approval you need. The Perfect Match for Keroro Gunso The Keroro Gunso franchise has always been about lovable misfits — aliens who were supposed to conquer Earth but ended up becoming part of a family. "キライのちスキ！" captures this spirit perfectly. It is a song about embracing your own weirdness, finding joy in the things you love, and realizing that being "hated" isn't the end of the world. For a series that has charmed audiences for decades with its humor and heart, ano's theme song is a worthy addition to its musical legacy. The TAKU INOUE Connection The collaboration with TAKU INOUE is a meeting of two of Japan's most distinctive musical voices. INOUE, known for his work with Yasutaka Nakata and his contributions to the Vocaloid and VTuber scenes, brings a sharp, contemporary production edge to ano's playful songwriting. The result is a track that feels both nostalgic and cutting-edge — much like the Keroro Gunso franchise itself. A Continuing Legacy The release of "キライのちスキ！" marks ano's second consecutive tie-up with Keroro Gunso, following "Kashippanashi Destiny." This sustained partnership demonstrates the strong creative chemistry between ano and the franchise, and suggests that fans can look forward to more collaborations in the future.

Conclusion:

ano's "キライのちスキ！" is a triumphant, joyfully defiant opening theme that perfectly captures the spirit of Keroro Gunso☆. With its infectious melody, its lyrics of self-love and authenticity, and the creative firepower of TAKU INOUE, the song stands as one of the most exhilarating anisong releases of the Autumn 2026 season. For longtime fans of ano's work, this single is another chapter in her remarkable career — a reminder of why she remains one of Japan's most unique and fearless artists. For viewers of Keroro Gunso☆, it is the perfect musical gateway into a series about lovable misfits finding their place in the world. And for anyone who has ever needed a reminder that it's okay to be yourself — this one is for you.
